In-District:

The MACRD is a special taxing district with established boundaries where residents have voted to pay taxes to support district operations. Our district boundaries generally mirror the 509J school district, including Madras, Metolius, and Warm Springs. There are other limited areas in Jefferson County that are also in-district; if you are unsure of your status, give us call and we can help.

Out-of-District

Patrons who live outside of the MAC Recreation District boundary pay a 20% out-of-district fee.

Types of Memberships

  • Monthly memberships are available for purchase throughout the month. Members must cancel their monthly membership by the 20th to avoid being charged automatically for the upcoming month.

Information about Memberships

Members have access to all MACRD drop-in activities. This includes open rec swim, open pool time activities, fitness classes and free entry for children under 3-years old.

  • Patrons who remain dry on deck do not have no pay for admission.

  • Yes, babies count toward the 1:40 lifeguard to patron ratio. Children 5-years of age and younger receive a 50% discounted entry fee.

    Patrons with a MACRD membership receive free entry for children under 3 years old.

  • No, you do not need a reservation to swim at the MAC. We do recommend that patrons planning to come for an Open Rec Swim consider registering ahead of time online to save their spot. We typically have spots for drop-ins, but we cannot guarantee entry when we reach maximum capacity (based on lifeguard to patron ratios). The available spots online are guaranteed entry based on minimum staffing levels.

  • Patrons may cancel their participation in a program at any time and are encouraged to provide as much notice as possible. All refunds will be assessed a 6% ActiveNet processing fee. Patron account credits will not be charged this fee.

    Credits, transfers and refunds will be granted as follows:

    Pre-registration required activities:

    • 100% refund, transfer or account credit with 15 days' or more notice before activity registration closes

    • 50% refund, transfer or account credit with 7-14 days' notice before activity registration closes

    • No refund, transfer or credit with 6 days or less before activity registration closes.

    Drop-in activities:

    • 100% refund, transfer or account credit prior to the start of the activity

    • No refund, transfer or credit after activity has started

    The executive director and/or their designee has the authority to grant exceptions to these guidelines on an as-needed, situational basis.
