On Friday, January 29, 2020 Governor Brown announced revised guidance on allowable activities based on county risk levels. The revisions would allow us to open to six patrons at a time. Unfortunately, the cost of re-hiring staff, heating the pool back up, and maintaining COVID-19 cleaning protocols is too high for us to open to this limited number of people. Staff continues to work on creating new programs and services, a revised membership structure, and administrative backbone systems to set us up for success when we reopen.
The next expected risk level evaluation by the state that could change our closed status is scheduled to be released on Tuesday, March 9, 2021. For more information, visit the OHA website and scroll down for risk level data by county.
The MACRD’s reopening plan is available here. Aligned to the Governor’s framework, the MAC will open fully to the public when Jefferson County is at a moderate or low risk level. The MACRD Board will re-evaluate our opening plan on a monthly basis at its regularly scheduled board meeting.
We will post updates to the website and our Facebook page weekly, so check back for more information!
