Madras Aquatic Center
The Madras Aquatic Center opened to the public in January 2008. Since the opening thousands of people from all over the world have come to see and enjoy our facility.
The MACRD mission is to promote long term community vitality and support healthy lifestyles for the individuals, families and communities we serve.
Drop-In Activities
Lap Swim
Lap swimming takes place in the lap pool and lanes will be divided by lane lines. Pool equipment (kickboards, flippers and buoy pull) is available to use during lap swim. Circle swimming may be required when there are more than two swimmers. Lanes are divided into slow, medium and fast.
Family Time
This time is intended for families and special needs patrons who may get overstimulated during open swims to come and splash in the water. Parents/guardians/caregivers must accompany their child/special needs patron in the water. The splash toys, slide, rope swing, and diving board are not available during this time.
Independent Workout
Independent workouts can take place in the lazy river, leisure or lap pools. Aqua exercise equipment is available for use.

Pool Rules
Children 8 years and younger require a responsible adult (over 18 years of age) IN THE WATER with them.
Children under 14 years of age must be accompanied by a responsible adult (over 18 years of age) IN THE FACILITY.
No inflatables allowed. Coast guard approved devices and foam pool noodles are permitted.
Spa/Hot tub users must be 16 years or older.
The height requirement for the slide is 48" tall.
Safety is our number one priority and we pride ourselves for maintaining a fun, safe environment for every patron and staff member.
Please adhere to the rules for your safety and the safety of others. Failure to follow the rules and or instructions from lifeguards may result in dismissal from the facility. The district’s patron rules and expectations policy is available here.

All refunds will be assessed a 6% ActiveNet processing fee. Account credits will not be charged this fee.
Patrons may cancel their participation in a program at any time and are encouraged to do so as soon as possible.
Credits and refunds will be granted as follows:
Pre-registration required activities:
• 100% refund, transfer or account credit, 15 days or more before activity registration closes
• 50% refund, transfer or account credit, 7-14 days before activity registration closes
• No refund, transfer or credit, 6 days or less before activity registration closes
Drop-in activities:
• 100% refund, transfer or account credit prior to the start of the activity
• No refund, transfer or credit after activity has started

Yes! The MAC Trust provides the MACRD with scholarships for patrons who reside in Jefferson County. Please fill out the Scholarship Application and return to info@macrecdistrict.com.

We do not take reservations for drop-in activities. But we do recommend making reservations for open swims due to the high popularity for all ages. There are spots open for walk ins, but we can’t guarantee entry if we reach maximum capacity.
