Madras Practice: 2 times a week from 3:30-5pm at Jefferson County Middle School Culver Practice: 2 times a week from 6-7pm at Culver High School
Mandatory dates: Registration deadline Mid-July, no Late registrations will be allowed. Gear Fitting and parent meeting Mid-July. Gear Issued/Weigh-in mid-August. Practice starts in August (days and times TBD), Games on Saturdays starting first saturday after Labor Day through October Each community will host home games.
The MAC Recreation District is proud to announce the third season of 5/6th grade (Ages 10-12) tackle football. Local teams will participate as a part of the Central Oregon Recreational League which includes, Madras, Warm Springs, Culver, Sister, Prineville, & LaPine. Uniform, Helmet, Shoulder pads, mouth piece will be provided. This program is dependent on volunteer coaches. All games will be played at hosting community on Saturday’s. Uniforms will be provided – Helmet, shoulder pads, pants, game jersey, mouthpiece. Gear not returned to the end of the season, parent of player will be billed for cost of replacement gear. We are seeking sponsorships for each team. (Madras, Culver, and Warm Springs). 2019 Fall 5th/6th Grade Tackle Football
We are proud to announce that the Madras Team will be led by head coach Steele Haugen. Steele brings a youthful energy and was a former MHS varsity football coach. He also has college experience as a player at George Fox University.
2019 Culver 5th/6th Grade Tackle Football
The Culver Team will be led by 2 year returning head coach Martti Rahi. Martti has consistently volunteered to coach since the beginning of flag and tackle football. Coach Rahi has years of experience at the youth and high school level, he has a deep compassion for football and how it can positively change the course our young kids lives.
